Our History
The Advanced Group, LLC – located in the enterprise region of Eastern Connecticut – opened its doors in 2002 with an early focus primarily on residential renovations and remodeling. Using a small crew and subcontractors, Advanced Group began to build a solid reputation. Over the years, the business grew in job size and crews, moving away from small repairs and renovations to a large scale consisting of new construction builds, commercial work and major remodeling projects.
Customer service has always remained a focus for owner David Preka and his team, which now includes more than 40 contractors and administrators and partnerships with more than 60 subcontractors. To date, Advanced Group has served more than 4,700 customers.
The company is licensed in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New York and boasts a showroom and office located in historic downtown Mystic, as well as two strategically placed workshops in Groton.
The focus for the business remains today on providing impeccable customer service, maintaining diligent attention to detail, and giving back to the community. To date, The Advanced Group has donated more than $100,000 to regional nonprofits.
