Advanced Group is located in Historical Downtown Mystic, so we understand the value of history. Our showroom office was built following an extensive historic application to keep the charm and feel of New England while preserving and highlighting our history. Our proposed designs were intended to mimic the surrounding area and show the appreciation of the buildings surrounding us.
The lay of the land
Our experience to help our clients in historical areas preserve their investments includes representing them in front of various town review boards such as the Historical and Façade Commissions, Architectural Review Boards, as well as Health Departments in regards to EPA and Lead Safety. The various application and presentation processes are detrimental to the success of our client’s plans to preserve their Historical home and can be daunting without the experience of a local contractor who has done it all before.
Every town has a little bit of history, and we have worked in many of them. We have worked in libraries, municipal buildings, schools, and banks from commercial preservation projects to residential renovations and new home construction.
Good bones, great story
Every home and building has its’ own appeal and restoration process from the foundation support to the internal floors and fine details of millwork to the copper gutters, James Hardie and Cedar Shake clapboard siding, wood shingles roof and masonry brickwork outside. We work from the inside out to show the best representation of your historic asset so you can step back in time while preserving the integrity of your home or business.
